Didem Evci Kiraz Open Journal Systems <p>Climate and Health Journal is an international, peer reviewed and open-access scientific publication for the academical papers on the fields of climate, climate change and health to be published.</p> <p>Climate and Health journal aims to bring together the studies conducted, and the evidences and experiences gathered on the field of climate and health by researchers expert in their fields. Climate and Health Journal is an internationally peer-reviewed journal that aims to serve as an effective tool for the academicians and researchers working on the fields of climate, climate change, environment and other related fields, and researchers expert in their fields within non-governmental organisations (NGOs), public sector organisations and international organisations to share their scientific assessments, research findings and analyses.</p> <p>There is no scientific periodical publication that handles the topics that intersectoral from the fields of climate and health in an inter-disciplinary and inter-sectoral approach in Turkey. The scientific projections for the future and the COVID-19 pandemic we are experiencing right now reveal that the processes impacting public health based on climate change are on the rise, and point out the need for strengthening the cooperation among different disciplines within the field of climate and health. All these changes can leave many effects on mental health. The preservation of mental health and&nbsp; to remain in a certain balance depend on many different variables. In this context, mental health cannot be considered independent of the environment. In this article, the concept of therapeutic environment in nursing is discussed. In addition to this, according to ecological theory, the importance of the relationship between environment and mental health will be emphasized and how the environmental awareness will be improved with a holistic view. Mental health nursing is an important area not only for the individuals who are mentally ill, but also for the maintenance of the mental health of the individual and the community. Human in mental health concept, should be considered in the biopsychosocial integrity. The concept of environment in mental health nursing, although it is very important in terms of affecting human psychology, it has been considered limited. In mental health nursing, the concepts of environment and therapeutic environment and psychosocial environment are more prominent. However, the ecosystem, in which we live in mental health, has a great influence on all elements in the environment, such as climate. Changes in the environment and ecosystem can huge impact not only on our biochemical balance but also on our mental health. Researchers are studying whether this method, which is used for such substances (addictive substances, alcohol, DNA / RNA biomarkers, pesticides etc) can be used as an early warning system and detectability of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in wastewater for COVID-19 surveillance. The purpose of this study is to introduce the emergence of the concept of wastewater epidemiology, its application and usage areas, and to discuss its place in COVID-19 surveillance. For this review, the articles obtained by searching in the databases for the keywords "waterbased epidemiology", "sewage epidemiology", "wastewater" and "COVID-19" published after March 11, 2020 were examined. In these articles, features that may be advantageous such as establishing early warning systems, creating regional maps, and following asymptomatic people are emphasized. Wastewater epidemiology is noticeable as it is a different approach as an environmental surveillance method. Didem Evci Kiraz <p>Domestic and industrial wastewater treatment plants, whose number is increasing day by day, also cause treatment sludge, which constitute<br />environmental problems. In my seminar, the sources of sewage sludge, the content of sewage sludge, stabilization and disposal methods, direct or post-disposal damage to the environment and the usage areas of treatment sludge will be investigated. The majority of sewage sludge is stored on land or disposed of in solid waste storage areas. They must be stabilized so that waste sludges can be reused or discharged into receiving<br />environments. Drying, leaving to rot or burning sewage sludge is only a temporary disposal method. In this context, reuse of treatment sludge<br />should be considered. If we give an example to the recycling applications of wastewater sludge, the use of suitable sludge stabilized as a result of<br />various processes as organic fertilizer or soil conditioner for agricultural purposes, energy recovery in wastewater treatment plants by gasification, alternative fuel and concrete raw material in cement factories can be given as examples. Here, the uses of blockchain technology in the field of public health are evaluated. Solutions at many different points, such as medical records, supply chains, have been studied.
